Awa Writing

 

Our poem of the week was called 'Awa' and we had to write our own poem like it and it was fun because we could make it sound like the river mouth was a living thing.

Hello my name is jack. I am a year 6. I go to Matawai school. I live with my Dad and my step Mum. I have 2 brothers and one sister and a dog called Bruce.

I am good at Writing. I enjoy playing our pingpong. My Challenges are Drawing. My goal is to fix my motorbike and go to the TT races.

I am looking forward to going biking and camping with Room 4. I am looking forward to sharing my art on my blog.  My dog inspires me because he can do cannonballs in the river.

I chows those colours because they  look cool.

Pop Art

Today we were learning to use pop art.

We had to take 3 photos of ourselves. We would use pop Art to decorate them. 

My favourite pop art colour was The Flame.

Greetings in Te Reo Maori

We were using Scratch in Te Reo Maori. It was hard to think up for what to make the animals say.

I will try put some salmon in the bears paw.
 

 

Potato in a Bucket

We are learning how to grow a potato it a bucket. We need compost, Blood and Bone and gravel. We put the potato about 3 cm from the bottom.

 We've been writing about Rodeo in our own words .We have to find the meaning of the headings.
